Paul Keltner is the owner and practitioner at Lone Star Massage Therapy in Austin, Texas. He has 15 years of experience in the massage therapy profession and 25 years total in health care. He is licensed in the State of Texas as a Massage Therapist (MT036370), Massage Therapy Instructor (MI01739), and Continuing Education Provider (CE1238). Paul is also a certified Watsu® Practitioner and Assistant Instructor through WABA (Worldwide Aquatic Bodyworkers Association), one of the few in Texas.
Paul earned a Bachelor of Science in Community Health from Texas A&M University. He has been a Licensed Paramedic since 1993 and a Licensed Massage Therapist since 2003. He specializes in treating both acute and chronic pain conditions, using his extensive experience in clinical assessment and human anatomy. He employs a variety of neuromuscular techniques, deep tissue massage, and PNF stretches to reduce tension, increase mobility, and facilitate healing. Paul also loves to introduce clients to Shiatsu and Thai Massage, which are therapeutic Asian bodywork approaches usually performed on a floor mat while the client remains clothed. He believes in the teamwork approach to healthcare and looks forward to coordinating with your other medical and wellness professionals to best help you achieve a happy and pain-free lifestyle.
Paul has an extensive teaching background as well. He has been a full-time educator at several private massage schools, a public university (UT Health Science Center - San Antonio), as well as two community colleges in the Houston area (Houston Community College and San Jacinto College) where he was also the Massage Therapy Program Director. He has taught numerous Continuing Education courses to other Licensed Massage Therapists.
Paul recently graduated from nursing school and earned his license as a Registered Nurse. He currently works full time as an RN in the Emergency Department of a local major hospital.
